Metallics have always been a difficult task for modelers. It doesn’t matter which modelling branch you choose, at some point you will find yourself in front of a metal piece/part which, of course, you want to finish as realistic as possible. There exist many ways to achieve a metal finish, from the use of enamels, towards waxes and bare metal sheets. Inside these two volumes dedicated to metallics, the talented artists from the AK Interactive Learning Series take you on a journey through the difficult tasks of mastering metallics. In this first volume we will show you how to understand metallic paints and how to apply them properly with the right products over vehicles. Also we cover techniques and share tips which come in handy when you are stuck. We will see examples applied on aircrafts, engines, Sci-fi vehicles, afv’s and details on all kinds of models.
We ship all items via Australia Post Mail. Customers in the Australia will generally receive packages by Australia Post tracked Mail.
Postage is calculated into 3 distinct weight AND volume categories being small, medium and large. Delivery confirmation/tracking is included with all domestic orders. You will receive an e-mail with the information when your order ships. It will also be noted on your order.
If you wish to use another method / carrier (FedEx/UPS/DHL), please choose “offline order” at checkout and contact us to work out the details. Please note that we do not have FedEx, DHL or UPS accounts and there will be an extra charge if we have to drive to the nearest office to ship the package. We will, however, gladly bill the freight to your account and call for a pickup.
Regardless of shipping method, we will ship to the address you list on your order in our system. Please ensure that the address listed on the order as “Ship-to” is where you want the order to be sent.
