Washes are the simplest and most effective way to add definition to your miniatures.
Applied over the base coat, the darker pigments in the washes flow into the crevices and recesses, creating natural shadows that instantly bring every detail to life. They also serve to enhance volume and add depth to details.

This new acrylic formula, designed for brush application, offers total control to achieve perfect shading. By working the wash as you apply it, you can build it up in the desired area. They can be used individually or combined with each other to achieve the exact contrast and definition you are looking for on different base tones.

The differences between shades, washes, and paints with contrasting effects, in the context of miniature painting (e.g., Warhammer, D&D, etc.), lie in their consistency, behavior, and the effect they produce on the miniature.
Washes are more liquid and have less surface tension. They are applied over base colors to create realistic shadows. They flow into crevices and folds to darken deep areas and define the details and edges of figures. They do not require a clear base, and their color is chosen according to the base tone on which they will be applied.

We ship all items via Australia Post Mail. Customers in the Australia will generally receive packages by Australia Post tracked Mail.

Postage is calculated into 3 distinct weight AND volume categories being small, medium and large. Delivery confirmation/tracking is included with all domestic orders. You will receive an e-mail with the information when your order ships. It will also be noted on your order.

If you wish to use another method / carrier (FedEx/UPS/DHL), please choose “offline order” at checkout and contact us to work out the details. Please note that we do not have FedEx, DHL or UPS accounts and there will be an extra charge if we have to drive to the nearest office to ship the package. We will, however, gladly bill the freight to your account and call for a pickup.

Regardless of shipping method, we will ship to the address you list on your order in our system. Please ensure that the address listed on the order as “Ship-to” is where you want the order to be sent.
