1/72 Scale – Draw Decal – Lockheed U-2D Dragon Lady – # 56-6722
Article 389/56-722 was delivered in March 1957 to the USAF and assigned to Special Projects Branch of ARDC at Edwards AFB, California. This was the first aircraft to carry an IR sensor. 722 remained at Edwards until 1978 when it was retired to the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. 722’s project history included “Smokey Joe” the tracking of infrared rocket exhaust plumes and Project HiCat , the study of high altitude air turbulence.

Postage is calculated into 3 distinct weight AND volume categories being small, medium and large. Delivery confirmation/tracking is included with all domestic orders. You will receive an e-mail with the information when your order ships. It will also be noted on your order.
If you wish to use another method / carrier (FedEx/UPS/DHL), please choose “offline order” at checkout and contact us to work out the details. Please note that we do not have FedEx, DHL or UPS accounts and there will be an extra charge if we have to drive to the nearest office to ship the package. We will, however, gladly bill the freight to your account and call for a pickup.
